The Haunting Beauty of Cambridge

Until yesterday, I had never really fully appreciated how beautiful and tranquil the city of Cambridge is.

Filled with little quirks and pleasant surprises, there’s something there for everyone. The market seems to be alight with the buzz of excited chatter. Walking down ancient cobbled streets, trying not to get run over by the stream of bikes whizzing past, whilst peering inside little corner shops and wanting all of the cute bits and bobs.

Sitting on a pew in the cathedral where Sir Isaac Newton may have sat 400 years ago, wondering at the magnificence of the ceilings and shivering at the sound of the choir.

Sitting snuggled under blankets on a punt, being steered under numerous bridges and enjoying the view whilst listening to the history behind it all. An ideal Sunday afternoon.
